Abuyog Hotel

The Abuyog Hotel is a 3-star hotel which has been open for less than a year but has already been experienced by a lot of locals and foreigners alike. Equipped with a restaurant, a coffee shop, a lounge and a rooftop mezzanine blessed with the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean; Abuyog Hotel is surely a place that Abuyognons, Leyteños and foreign guests ought to experience.

The Abuyog Hotel was first established in 2006 during the governance of former Mayor Ofelia K. Traya and was finally completed due to the supervision of the current Mayor Octavio ‘Bebot’ Traya. The initial financial allocation of the project cost Php 15 million and a further Php 14 million was requested once again for the completion of the LGU Hotel. As part of the hotel’s pride is furniture and interior décor pieces that were flown all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada. However, despite the lavishness, the Local Government Unit was able to get these pieces for an absolute steal.

Apart from the fact that the Abuyog Hotel was constructed for Balik-Bayan Abuyognons and guests of the locals, the hotel was also constructed for the use of the local community college students taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management. Currently, there are about 20 local personnel and 40 students who are taking their On-The-Job Training (OJT) at the hotel coffee shop, restaurant and hotel.

The Abuyog Hotel is a place for family, friends and guests to stay when in Abuyog. Apart from this, the coffee shop is a lovely place to meet up with old friends while in town. With a strong Wi-Fi connection all over the hotel, even techie individuals will be tempted to go out of their luxurious rooms to enjoy the quaint ambience of the Hotel. Hopefully, when the Balinsasayao Mountain Resort plans will be pushed forward, both Abuyog Hotel and local Abuyognons will be able to open their arms to even more guests interested in discovering this beautiful and peaceful town.
