Functions

Execute all laws and policies governing the appraisal and assessment of all kinds of real properties. Initiates review and recommend changes policies and objectives, plans and programs, techniques, procedures and practices in the valuation and assessment, install and maintain a real property identification and accounting system; conduct physical surveys to discover new and undeclared real properties: determine whether all kinds of real properties within the municipality are properly listed in the assessment rolls; exercise the functions of appraisal and assessment of real properties primarily for taxation purposes; issue certificate copies of assessment records and other related documents upon payments of service charge or fees.

Objectives

To have executed all laws and policies governing the appraisal and assessment of real properties, to have initiated, reviewed and recommended changes in policies and objectives, plans and programs, techniques, procedures and practices in the valuation and assessment of the real properties for taxation purposes. To have coordinated with the Municipal Treasurer in the augmentation of real property tax collection.

ISSUANCE OF ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION

ISSUANCE OF TAX DECLARATION ON LAND DECLARED NEW

1 Proceed to the Mun. Assesor’s Office for consultation of the transaction Provide the client the requirements for land to be declared new Mun. Assessor For titled property (2 copies each)
a. A certified true copy of free patent, homestead of  miscellaneous sales application must be submitted
b. A certified true copy of the title issued by the Register of Deeds, certifying among others, that the original copy of which is intact and existing in the said registry
c. Approved survey plan
for untitled property (2 copies each)
a. A survey plan prepared by a duly licensed Geodetic Engineer duly approved by the Land Management Bureau (LMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources
b. A certification from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), stating among others, that the land is within the alienable and disposable area
c. An affidavit of ownership and/or sworn Statement declaring the Market Value of Real Property filed by the owner/ administrator; Affidavit that the applicant is in long, continuous and notorious possession of the property
d. A certification from the barangay captain that the declarant is the present possessor and occupant of the land and the certification of the adjoining owners duly sworn to by the barangay captain and/or the municipal mayor.

ISSUANCE OF TAX DECLARATION OF BUILDING DECLARED NEW
