Functions

Advices the Mayor, Sanguniang Bayan and other local and national offices regarding the disposition of local funds relative to public funds. Take custody and exercise proper management of the properties and funds; take charge in the disbursement of funds and other funds of the custody of which is entrusted to the Treasurer; inspect private, commercial and industrial establishment and; maintain and update tax information system.

Objectives

Maximize revenue collection of the Local Government Unit; safeguard government properties and funds in accordance with laws; deliver basic services to the constituents provided under rules and regulations.

COLLECTIONS OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES

1 Taxpayers request for the computation of Real Property taxes and pays the required amount as computed by the Revenue Collection Clerk *  The Revenue Collection Clerk prepares a computation of real property taxes based on the latest Tax Declaration and Real Property Payment Ledger Cards Revenue Collection Clerks RPT Ledger cards, Tax Declarations (Revised) and Assessment Rolls Depend on the assessments made as well as the time of payments 10-15 mins if prompt or advance payments
*  Issue Tax Clearance if requested; and
*  Post all payments to real property individual ledger cards

COLLECTIONS OF BUSINESS TAXES

1 Taxpayers appear before the Office of the Mayor and request for Application for Business Permit and proceed to Municipal Treasurer’s Office for assessment of fees. Upon receipt of the Application for Business Permit duly filled up by the taxpayer and approved by the Municipal Mayor, the office verifies the authenticity and truthfulness of gross sales declared. The Assessment Clerk prepares a computation based on the gross sales and issue an assessment slip as a basis for the taxpayer’s payment. Upon payment, the application is returned to the taxpayers for them to facilitate the signing of the different agencies concerned as well as the approval of the same by the Municipal Mayor as recommended by the Mun. Treasurer. Municipal Treasurer/ Revenue Coll. Clerk/ Assessment Clerk Taxpayer’s Business Financial Statement, Books of Accounts, Ledger Cards and Application for Business Permit Depend on the assessment made 15-20 mins.

ISSUANCE OF TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE

1 Taxpayers proceed to the Office the Treasurer and request for the issuance of Tax Clearance After thorough verification of all records in the office and if found out that no records of tax delinquency existed, a Tax Clearance will be issued Any Revenue Collection Clerks or Municipal Treasurer Taxpayer’s Request Slip and Ledger Cards of the taxpayer. 150 10 mins.

ISSUANCE OF COMMUNITY TAX CERTIFICATE

1 Taxpayers proceed to the Office of the Treasurer and declare all his important personal data as well as his income and property assets which are necessary for the issuance of Community Tax Certificate Upon request of the taxpayer, the office issue a CTC provided all the data are available and the person/s requesting resides in the municipality where he/she secures CTC All Revenue Collection Clerks *  Taxpayer’s Personal Data and Basic Tax for CTC A;
*  Financial Records on Income and Property Assets for CTC B.
